Links persist after source object is deleted and purged

I have a function that copies a project and deletes any unwanted modules and objects that are not under a selection criteria.

For one of the created projects, objects that had incoming links from objects that were purged still have the reference to the link. I know of a way to eliminate this reference: open the source module, open the destinatin module, select properties of the object that still contains the reference and the reference is deleted automatically.

Is there a way of doing this without having yto open the properties of each object? Or another solution to this problem?
